Plus Mz Coko has a slight case of ADD and can not stay on one topic... so whatever Mz Coko feels like talking about (something along the lines of fashion and black folk issues) is what is gonna get talked about.

Kill Yourself: Per-Henrik Zahl
Sooo before reading this blog.. read this article. Per Henrik Zahl is the scientist behind this study that basically said:

--frequent mammograms are unnecessary because many tumors will regress on their own without treatment
--breast/prostate cancer isn't deadly

While this article doesn't say anything about blacks/african-americans (whichever you prefer)... If this foolishness disguised as science and sense gets around, its implications could possibly have devastating effects on our community. If anybody knows about the health disparities that exist with breast cancer alone.. you know that black women are diagnosed less with breast cancer yet have the highest mortality rate... If we get the disease we are less likely to last 5 years.. Why?

The main reasons are lack of early detection and disparities in treatment

Tell all the thousands of black women that have died from breast cancer that bullshit... Its supposed to go away on its on. Oh wait.. you can't.... because they are fucking D E A D. So you... Per-Henrik Zahl.. can go jump off a bridge with cement slippers on. I'm mad so I have nothing else to say.

On a related note, just recently the USDA doubled its recommended daily allowance of vitamin D for children. One reason is that mainstream medicine is starting to listen to the "alternative" and integrative docs and researchers concerning some of their claims: Namely, in this case, that the farther a people get from the equator the higher the incidence of certain cancers--especially breast and prostate. Melanin-enriched folks (that would be us) would benefit from standing in the sun--which causes the production of vitamin D in us--around 30 minutes a day. Our fairer-skinned brethren require more time. So, take more vitamin D and face the sun, ladies! 'Cause y'all's breaseses are sooooo very lovely and essential (especially you-know-whose, LOL)!

By the way, a very merry and blessed Christmas to you and you girls, especially one in particular, who shall remain nameless. Sigh.

You have to see his research in connection to something not even he can say out loud (and depending on how much he knows about alternative research he might not even know about it): cancer cells are not forever destroyed and unlike what the pharmacautical industry will tell you the cancerous cells can actually start to function normal again.
It's imporant to question the current cancer research because while they make billions per year they haven't contributed anything to the survival rate improvement (there has been a reduction in side-effects though). The slight improvement in survival is because of early detection and surgery. When you take into account the disaterous increase in total cancer cases the last 30 years it is clear that the FDA as well as all the pharmaceutical companies have failed horribly in their research. To call it science what they do is IMO wrong as they actually don't have a clue what is going on. A new path should be looked at - like the DCA research in Canada or hemp-oil. Problem is of course that the pharma industry will not research anything that can not be rewarded with patents and more billions of dollars...
